Canada Drugs Center is a Member of RxRights, Helps Consumers Find Affordable Drugs
Leading Canadian online pharmacy Canada Drugs Center has voiced its support for RxRights, an advocate group that seeks to make affordable prescription drugs more available to consumers. In addition to many other organizations, Canada Drugs Center is a member of the group, which aims to educate people on how to gain access to cheaper medicines.
Statistics show that Americans pay the most for prescription medications when compared to other markets around the world. Some people in the U.S. pay twice as much for products they need to help them fight diseases, maintain good health and prevent the development of many illnesses.
Research presented at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference revealed that young, uninsured people who have experienced a stroke often cannot afford drugs. This is also true of some older adults who are covered by the Medicare Part D prescription medication plan.
Lead author Deborah A. Levine, a professor of medicine from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and her colleagues evaluated whether cost-associated non adherence to medicine affected stroke survivors.
“Federal programs to reduce cost-related non adherence to medication may not be working as intended, and a resulting large number of stroke survivors are at risk for subsequent stroke events,” Levine explained. “Medicare part D has not resolved the problem of cost-related non adherence to medication among Medicare beneficiaries with stroke.”
She and her team urged physicians to screen for cost-related barriers to taking prescription drugs among patients who have suffered a stroke.
Individuals who are having difficulty affording medicine may want to look into buying cheap medication from Canada. Exploring their options from a Canadian online pharmacy like Canada Drug Center may help them save a significant amount of money and enable them to acquire the products they need to stay healthy.
Such pharmacies that are members of RxRights may be able to help shoppers find great discounts on both generic and brand-name products. The RxRights initiative began in 1999, when Mature Voices Minnesota’s acting director Lee Graczyk began organizing bus trips to Canada to help Americans fill out their prescriptions.
Buying cheap medication from Canada can help patients in the U.S. offset some of the skyrocketing prescription drug prices that may pose a threat to their health.
